CHAP. 116.-An ACT for the relief of A. S. Grigsby, late assistant to
the treasurer of Campbell county.

Whereas A. S. Grigsby, late assistant to the treasurer of
Campbell county, paid to the treasurer of Campbell county the
sum of two hundred and thirty-one dollars and twenty-eight
cents by mistake, the same being in excess of his collections of
tax-tickets in his hands for collection :
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the treasurer of Campbell county, or his successor in his office.
be and he is hereby authorized to return to A. 8S. Grigsby the
said sum of two hundred and thirty-one dollars and twenty-
eight cents, paid by him in excess of his collections for said
treasurer, one hundred and sixty-nine dollars and seven cents
to be paid out of the funds of the state, and sixty-two dollars
and twenty-one cents out of those of the county of Campbell, and
the tax-tickets representing said sum may be returned as insol-
vent.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
