CHAP. 92.—An ACT to amend an act approved February 3, 1871,
entitled an act to authorize the city of Portsmouth to lease out the
ends of certain streets.

Approved February 19, 1880.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the first section of an act approved the third day of February,
eighteen hundred and seventy-one, entitled an act to authorize
the city of Portsmouth to lease out the ends of certain streets,
be amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:

§ 1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of the state of
Virginia, That it shall be lawful for the council of the city of
Portsmouth to lease out for a term of years to private parties
or corporations the ends of the streets running to Elizabeth
river.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
