CHAP. 88.—An ACT to provide more effectually for the control and
investment of the Glebe fund of the county of Northampton.
Approved February 19, 1880.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the board of
supervisors of Northampton county be and they are hereby
authorized, in the exercise of a seund discretion, at the sale
of any real estate secured to them for the loan of any part of
the Glebe fund of said county, to bid for said real estate a
sum equal to the amount so loaned and secured and the costs
attending its recovery; and any real estate so purchased by
the said board they shall, as soon as practicable thereafter, in
the exercise of a sound discretion, sell the same at public or
private sale, on such terms as they may deem wise and proper;
and they are hereby authorized in their corporate name, coun-
tersigned by all the members of said board, to execute a deed
of conveyance to the purchaser. And the proceeds of any
such sale the said board shall loan out or invest in such secu-
rities as they may deem wise and proper consistent with the
safety of the fund, and the interest accruing therefrom the said
supervisors will appropriate in accordance with the provisions
of an act approved February twenty-second, eighteen hundred
and seventy-eight, entitled an act to -provide for the control
and investment of the Glebe fund of the county of North-
ampton.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
