CHAP. 65.—An ACT to incorporate the trustees of the New Jerusalem
Evangelical Lutheran church near Lovettsville, in the county of
Loudoun.
Approved February 10, 1880.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
Peter A. Fry, George Wire, Job Smith, Jonas Slater and N.
Haner Bartlett and their successors in office be and they are
hereby declared to be a body politic and corporate, with per-
petual succession, under the style of The Trustees of the
Church Property of the New Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran
Church, and in such name to sue and be sued, plead and be
impleaded, to acquire, hold and convey property that may be
deemed best for the congregation located near Lovettsville,
Loudoun county; but said trustees shall be governed in the
matter of acquiring and conveying real estate by a concur-
rence of a two-thirds vote of said congregation.
2. Said trustees or their successors shall have power to
enact such by-laws and regulations as shall best protect their
property : provided, that such by-laws and regulations are not
inconsistent with the laws of the United States and of this
state.
8. This act shall be in force from its passage.
