Chap. 48.—An ACT authorizing the board of supervisors of Clarke
county to borrow money.
Approved February 4, 1880.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
authority be and is hereby given to the board of supervisors of
Clarke county to borrow a sum of money, not exceeding three
thousand dollars, for the purpose of paying the interest to be-
come due June one, eighteen hundred and eighty, upon the
bonds of said county to the Shenandoah Valley railroad com-
pany, and in order to secure the said loan to issue the bond or
bonds of said county, payable at such time or times as may be
agreed on, bearing interest from date, not exceeding six per
centum per annum, payable annually.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
