CHAP. 37.—_JOINT RESOLUTION providing for the destruction of
certain unissued bonds of the commonwealth now in the treasury.
Approved February 2, 1880.
1. Resolved by the general assembly, That of the unissued
bonds in the treasury, the following classes, denominations and
numbers of securities with all coupons attached be destroyed,
to-wit: order bonds, coupon for one hundred dollars, from one
thousand one hundred and thirty-one to ten thousand, both in-
clusive; order bonds, coupon for five hundred dollars, from
four hundred and thirty-eight to ten thousand, both inclusive;
order bonds, coupon for one thousand dollars, from four thou-
sand and fifty-six to ten thousand, both inclusive; and bearer
bonds, coupon for five hundred dollars, from five thousand and
one to ten thousand, both inclusive.
2. That the bonds and coupons aforesaid be burned at the
earliest practicable time, in the presence of the governor, trea-
surer, second auditor and the joint committee of the general
assembly appointed to take an inventory of the valuable | papers
in the treasury.
8. That when the aforesaid officers and committee proceed to
the discharge of duty under these resolutions it shall be found
that a further issue of these bonds has been made under the
laws relating thereto, then these resolutions shall apply to the
bonds and coupons remaining so unissued in the treasury, and
they shall be accordingly so destroyed.
