CHAP. 298.—An ACT to protect rabbits or hares between the Ist day
of March and the 15th day of September in the county of Ches-
tertield.
Approved March 9, 1880.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That it shall not
be lawful in Chesterfield county, between the first day of March
and the fifteenth day of September in each year, to hunt or
trap or kill any rabbit or hare, and any person so doing shall,
upon conviction before the magistrate of the district in which
the offence occurred, be fined not less than one dollar nor more
than five dollars.
2. This act shall be in force from and after the first day of
May, eighteen hundred and eighty.
