CHAP. 207.—An ACT to authorize the county court of Stafford to
appoint commissioners to rearrange the boundaries of the fence law
in said county.
Approved March 6, 1880.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That c
the county court of the county of Stafford shall be and is here- ®
by authorized to appoint three commissioners for each district
in said county, who shall have authority, if they deem it expe- ¢,
dient, to rearrange the boundaries heretofore established under
the law relating to fences and for the protection of crops in
said county, passed January twenty-six, eighteen hundred and
sixty-six. |
2. Said commissioners shall meet at some time and place, to v
be designated in the order appointing them, and their action >
shall be reported to said county court, and if said report be ¥
confirmed by said court, the same shall be recorded in the t.
clerk’s office, and notice thereof shall be given to the people, if
it be determined by the court to change said boundaries. The c
court shall cause the line to be designated, and thereafter the ”
same shall be the lawful line between the owners and proprie-
tors of adjacent lands, and shall be deemed and taken as a law-
ful fence.
3. The boundaries thus established shall not go into opera- v
tion until such time as said court or commissioners shall direct. ™
4. All acts and parts of acts inconsistent with this act are 1
hereby repealed. sd
5. This act shall be in force from its passage. c
