CHAP. 187.—An ACT to authorize the trustees of the churches in the
Isle of Wight circuit to borrow money.
Approved February 20, 1880.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the trustees of the churches in the Isle of Wight circuit,
Methodist Episcopal Church South, Virginia conference, be
and they are hereby authorized to borrow a sum of money, not
exceeding two thousand dollars, at a rate of interest not ex-
ceeding seven per centum per annum, to purchase a parsonage
in the fown of Smithfield, Virginia, for the use of the pastor of
the churches of said circuit; and to secure the payment of the
money borrowed, the said trustees are hereby further author-
ized to execute a deed of trust on the said property.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
