CHAP. 161.—An ACT defining the conditions of conveyance and
recordation under any sale the James Riverand Kanawha Company
may make of its works and franchises.
Approved March 4, 1880.
Howiron rails 1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That :

with the approval of the board of public works, that iron rails
Time extend- may be temporarily laid instead of steel rails, and that twelve'|

Authority to 2. Any purchaser of such works and franchises may sell the ©
selljworks, & same to the Richmond and Alleghany railroad company.
Recordation 38. The tax upon recordation of the deed conveying said
tax works and franchises shall be one thousand two hundred and
fifty dollars,.and if the purchaser shall immediately convey
the same to a corporation no additional tax shall be required
for recordation.
Commencem’t 4. This act shall be in force from its passage.
