Whereas Walter Robinson, of Culpeper county, a lately
deceased soldier, lost an arm in the late war between the states, &
and during his lifetime applied to have an artificial arm fur- j

nished him, or for commutation for the same, and died before
the same was furnished or paid him; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of the state of Vir-
ginia, That the auditor of public accounts of the state of Vir-
ginia do forthwith draw his warrant on the treasurer of the
State in the sum of forty dollars ($40) in favor of Josephine
Robinson, widow of Walter Robinson, as commutation for said
arm. .
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
