CHAP. 157.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section 3 of an act !
entitled an act to incorporate the Broad Creek Toll Bridge and
Turnpike Company, approved April 4, 1877.
Approved March 4, 1280.
1. Be it enacted by the gencral assembly, That section three
of an amended act entitled an act to incorporate the Broad
Creek Toll Bridge and Turnpike Road company, approved,
April fourth, eighteen hundred and seventy-seven, be amende
and re-enacted so as to read as follows: |
§ 3. The said company shall be and they are hereby author:
ized to erect gates at the bridge, and at such other point or
points as may be advisable, and to charge toll as follows: for
crossing the bridge, tolls at not less rates than other turnpikes
in the vicinity, and in other respects the rates now prescribed
by law, and no higher rates shall be charged for using a por-
tion of said road: provided, that the work be commenced
within two years, and the road completed to Kempsville within
five years.
2. This act shall be in furce from its passage.
