Chap. 95.—An ACT to authorize the governor to borrow money.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the governor
be and is hereby authorized to borrow on behalf of the com-
monwealth, from the state depositories, a sum or sums of money
not to exceed two hundred thousand dollars in the aggregate,
at arate of interest not exceeding six per centum per annum,
to be refunded on or before the fifteenth day of June, eighteen
hundred and seventy-nine, and for the payment of which, at.
maturity, the revenues of the state are hereby pledged.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
