CHAP. 66.—An ACT to empower the county court of Essex county
and the county court of Richmond county to grant to any person or
persons the right to establish a ferry across the Rappahannock river
at Tappahannock.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the county court of Essex county‘and the county court of Rich-
mond county are hereby empowered, in accordance with the
provisions of chapter sixty-four, Code of eighteen hundred and
seventy-three, to grant to any person or persons the right to
establish a ferry across the Rappahannock river, from any land-
ing in the town of Tappahannock, Essex county, to the shore
on the Richmond county side of said river, should such ferry.
in the opinion of the said courts, be deemed desirable as a
matter of public convenience, and violate no vested rights of
individuals.
2. This act shall be in foree from its passage.
