Chap. 62.——An ACT to extend the time for the repeal of the pre-
sent fence Jaw in gle magisterial district of Rowanty, in the county
of Dinwiddie.
Approved Pebruary 1, 1879.
Whereas an election was held in the county of Dinwiddie
under authority of an act entitled an act requiring the officers
conducting elections in Dinwiddie county to submit the ques-
tion of continuing or repealing the fence laws to the voters of
voting districts of Dinwiddie county, approved March twenty-
ninth, eighteen hundred and seventy-seven, and it having been
ascertained from the returns and abstracts of the ballots cast
at said election, that the magisterial district of Rowanty had
voted against the present fence law, and that its repeal in that
district would take effect in accordance with an order entered of
record by the county judge of Dinwiddie at the expiration of
two years from the date of said election-day; and whereas it
appears to this general assembly that it is desirable that the
time for such repeal shall be extended for eighteen months af-
ter the day named in the order of said judge; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assemb’y, That the time for
the repeal of the present fence law in the magisterial district of
Rowanty, in the county of Dinwiddie, be extended for eighteen
months from the day mentioned in the order entered of record
by the county judge of Dinwiddie.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
