CHAP. 259.—An ACT to allow Thomas J. Gillespie, treasnrer of
Buchanan county, until the Ist day of May, 1879, to make return
of his delinquent and insolyent lists for the year 1877.

Whereas Thomas J. Gillespie, treasurer of Buchanan county,
failed to make his return to the auditor of pubiic accounts of
his delinguent and insolvent lists for the year eighteen hundred
and seventy-seven, within the time prescribed by law; there-
fore,

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the said trea-

- surer shall be and Is hereby allowed until the first day of May.

eighteen hundred and seventy-nine, to make return of his de-
linguent and insolvent lists for the year eighteen hundred and
seventy-seven; and if made out and certified according to law
by that time, the anditor of public accounts is hereby author-
ized to allow the proper credit therefor in the final settlement
of the accounts of said freasurer.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
