CHAP. 241.—An ACT to authorize BE, A. Jeffreys to erect a whart
upon his land on Chincoteague, in the county of Accomae.
Approved March 3, 1879.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
K. A. Jeffreys, of the county of Accomac, be and he is hereby
authorized and permitted to erect a wharf upon bis land on
Chincoteague island, in said county, with a water front of two
hundred and fifty feet or less, extending thirty feet or less from
low-water mark to Chincoteague channel; and that the said E,
A. Jeffreys, his heirs and assigns, shall have the right to charge
and recover such fees, as a compensation for the use of said
wharf, as may have been agreed upon by and between the par-
ties, or as are usual: provided, that this act shall at all times
be under the control of the general assembly, and may be
amended or repealed as may be deemed proper.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
