CHAP. 237.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section 11, chapter 13,
of the Code of eighteen hundred and seventy-three, in relation to
the salary of county judges of Norfolk and Henrico,
Approved March 3, 1879.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That section eleven
of chapter thirteen of the Code of Virginia of eighteen hun-
dred and seventy-three, be amended and re-enacted so as to
read as follows:
Sit. It shall be lawful for the boards of supervisors of the
counties of Norfolk and Ilenrico, respectively, by a two-thirds
vote of each of said boards, to increase the salaries of the
judges of the county court of their respective counties: pro-
vided, that such additional increase, together with the amount
allowed by law, shall not exceed in the aggregate the sum of
two thousand dollars to the judge of the county court of Nor-
folk, nor twelve hundred dollars to the judge of the county
court of Henrico; such increase of salary to be a charge upon
and to be paid out of the county levies of each of said coun-
ties, respectively, in the manner provided in section ten of
chapter thirteen of the Coce of e'ghtcen liundred and seveuty-
three.
2. This act shall commence from and after the thirty-first
day of December, eighteen hundred and seventy-nine.
