Chap. 226.—An ACT to amend and re-enact the 4th section of an act
approved March 12, 1878, in relation to office hours of certain officers
aud clerks of the state government,
Approved March 2, 1879.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the fourth
section of an act approved March twelfth. eighteen hundred
and seventy-eight, entitled an act to amend and re-enact cer-
tain sections of the Code of eighteen hundred and seventy-
three, and certain acts of assembly amendatory thereof, and
other acts of assembly m relation to the salaries of certain
officers of the government and their employees, compensation
of members and officers of the general assembly, mileage and
other allowances, to define the salaries of certain officers, and
to repeal chapter one hundred and fifty-three of the Acts of
eighteen hundred and seventy-four, and section twenty-seven
of chapter sixteen, and sections two, four, and five of chapter
one hundred and sixty-one, and sections five, sixteen, and
twenty-four of chapter thirteen of the Code of eighteen hun-
dred and seventy-three, be amended and re-enacted so as to
read as follows:
64. Tho hours for transacting business in the offices of the
two auditors, the treasurer, the secretary of the commonwealth,
the rezister of the land office, the superintendent of public in-
straction, the commissioner of agricuiture, and the commis-
sionor of railroads, shall be from eight in the morning until
three in the afternoon, between the first day of April and the
first day of November, and from nine in the morning until
éheee in the afternoon during the rest of the year.
Z. AU other acts and parts of acts in conflict with this act
are hereby repealed.
3. ‘This act shall be in force from its passage.
