Little, and Mrs. Emma Smith,

Whereas great injury has been done by the freshets of elgh-
teen hundred and seventy-seven, to the lands of R. Shiflett,
Mistress E. V. Little, and Mistress Emma Smith, lying in the
county of Fluvanna; and whereas for good and sufficient rea-
son they failed to have their lands assessed in accordance with
the provisions of an act approved February twenty-second, eigh-
teen hundred and seventy-cight; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the provisions
of the act of February twenty-second, eighteen hundred and
seventy-eight, reassessing the Jands throughout the common-
wealth of Virginia that were injared by the freshet of eighteen
hundred and seventy-seven, be extended soas to allow R. Shif-
lett, Mistress EK. V. Little, and Mistress kmma Smith, to have
their lands reassessed.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
