Chap. 104.—An ACT to authorize the use of convict labor on the
grounds of the State Agricultural Society.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the governor, at his discretion, on the call of the president of
the Virginia state agricultural socity, may order the employ-
ment of penitentiary convicts in labor on the grounds of the Vir-
vinia state agricultnral society. imposing such conditions and
restrictions as he may deem proper.
