CHAP. 102.—An ACT to amend and re-enact an act to authorize the
construction of a turnpike road in Princess Anne and Norfolk coun-
ties, approved March 14, 1878.
Approved February 15, 1879.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the act approved March fourteenth, eighteen hundred and sev-
enty-eight, entitled an act to authorize the construction of a
turnpike in Princess Anne and Norfolk counties, be amended
by adding the following sections:
§ 6. The said company are hereby authorized to extend their
road to Princess Anne courthouse, or to Capp’s shop, or to in-
termediate points in the county of Princess Anne, and with the
consent of the county court, fo use the bed of the public road
or roads, but no tolls shall be charged for passing over so much
of the public road as may be used by said company, and no
gate shall be erected by said company across any public road
used by said company.
§ 7. The capital stock of said company may be increased so
that the whole amount issued shall not exceed sixteen thousand
dollars, instead of twelve thousand dollars, as heretofore en-
acted.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
