Chap. 66.—An ACT to authorize the Lynchburg Light Artillery Blues
and Old Dominion Guard of Portsmouth city, to uniform themselves
in such manner as they may decide.

Whereas there is an artillery company of volunteer militia
in the city of Lynchburg composed of the requisite number
of men, which has been organized according to law, under
the name of the Lynchburg Light Artillery Blues; and
whereas the members of said company desire to adopt a uni-
form different from that heretofore prescriked by the gov-
ernor for volunteer militia, and better adapted to that arm
of the service which they represent; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That it shall be
lawful for the Lynchburg Light Artillery Blues and Old Do-
minion Guard of Portsmouth city, to uniform themselves in
such manner and agreeably to such regulations as they or a
majority ot them shall prescribe: provided that the uniform
so adopted shall be subject to the approval of the governor.
2. This act shall in force from its passage.
