Chap. 65.—An ACT for the relicf of the sureties of A. F. Creel, late
collector for Marshall township in the county of Fauquier.

Approved February 20, 1878.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the auditor
of public accounts be and he is hereby authorized to extend
the time for enforcing the judgment heretofore obtained by
the commonwealth against A. F. Creel, late collector for
Marshall township in the county of Fauquier, and his sure-
ties, for twelve months from the first day of January, eigh-
teen hundred and seventy-eight: provided said sureties shall
agree to said extension by writing filed in the office of the
auditor of public accounts.

2. That if the said sureties shall, on or before the expira-
tion of the period aforesaid, pay off in full the said judg-
ment, principal, legal interest at the rate of six per centum
and costs, they are hereby released from all excess of inter-
est and damages.

3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
