Chap. 54.—An ACT to incorporate the St. Paul’s Church Home for
the aged and infirm.
Approved February 6, 1878,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That Charles
Minnigerode, Isainh Hl. White, A. Y. Stokes, E. C. Minor,
Joseph R. Anderson, Adolphus Blair, and John Dunlop, and
their successors, be and are hereby incorporated under the
name of The Saint Pauls Church Home for the Aged and
[nfirm, with power to hold property, real and personal, not
exceeding two hundred thousand dollars in value; to sue and
be sued, to make contracts, and to do all other things neces-
sary for the attainment of the purposes of this corporation.
2. The said corporation shall have power to adopt a con-
stitution, and to enact by-laws not in conflict with the con-
stitution and laws of this commonwealth, to associate others
with themselves, and to delegate the administration to a
board of managers, or such other agents as they may select.
3. An infirmary or hospital may also be established in
either department, for the reception and treatment of sick
persons; and the corporators or board of managers may make
and enforce such rules as are necessary for its government
and good order.
4, This act shall be in force from its passage.
