Chap. 3.—An ACT to authorize the council of the city of Richmond
to loan a certain sum in bonds or money to the James river and
Kanawha company.

Approved December 18, 1877.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the council of the city of Richmond be and is hereby author-
_ized to loan to the James river and Kanawha company the
sum of twenty-five thousand dollars in money or in bonds
to repair the damage caused by the recert flood.. —
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
