Chap. 296.—An ACT to authorize the supervisors of Amherst county
to issue bonds to aid in building a free bridge across the James river
at Lynchburg.
Approved March 14, 1878.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the board
of supervisors of Amherst county be authorized to issue
bonds of said county to the amount of five thousand dollars,
to be appropriated solely to the construction of a bridge over
James river at said city, so as to connect the city of Lynch-
burg with said county; which said bridge shall be forever
free from all charges for tolls.
2. The said bonds shall be coupon or registered, of such
denominations, payable at such time and with such rate of
interest, not exceeding six per centum per annum, as may
be determined by said board.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
