Chap. 286.—An ACT allowing the school districts of Mount Vernon
and Lee, in Fairfax county, “to rebuild jointly a school-house, lately
destroy ed by fire.

Approved March 14, 1878.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the school
districts of Mount Vernon and Lee, in the county of Fair-
fax, are hereby authorized, jointly, to rebuild a school-house
near the line of said districts, known as the Lewis chapel
school-house, lately destroyed by fire, at or near: the site of
the said school-house, on either side of the line of said dis-
tricts, and at the joint and cqual expense of the two districts,
with equal rights of property and authority in each board,
Rubject to all the requirements of the present school laws
not in conflict with this act.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
