Chap. 281.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section first of an act
entitled an act to incorporate the Bedford Alum and Iodine Springs
company, approved March 20, 1877.

1. Beit enacted by thé general assembly of Virginia, That
section first of an act entitled an act to incorporate the Bed-
ford Alum and lodine Springs company, approved March
twentieth, eighteen hundred and seventy-seven, be amended
and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
§ 1. William T. Yancey, EH. P. Goggin, A. M. Davies, E. A.
Craighill, P. HE. Waugh, John R. Maben, John W. Daniel, or
any three of them, and such persons as they may associate
with them, be and they are hereby created a body politic
and corporate, under the name and style of The Bedford
Alum and Iron Springs company, for the purpose of pur-
chasing, operating, and possessing the Bedford Alum and
Iron Springs estate in the county of Campbell; and under
that name and style shall have perpetual succession and a
common seal, with power to sue and be sued, plead and be
im pleaded, contract and be contracted with, and have all the
attributes of a corporation under the laws of this state, so
far as the same are appligable.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
