Chap. 274.—An ACT for the relief of R. H. Thompson, late collector
of Goodson township, in the county of Washington.

1. Be it enacted. by the general assembly, That R. H.
Thompson, late collector of Goodson townsbip, in the county
of Washington, be allowed until the first day of December,
eighteen hundred and seventy-eight, to collect the unpaid
portion of bis tax tickets due for the years eighteen hun-
dred and seventy-three and cishteen hundred and seventy-
four, and that he shall have the same power to collect the
same as he had in eighteen hundred and seventy-three and
eighteen hundred and seventy-four, but nothing in this act
shall be so construed as to change, alter, or modify in any
way or degree, the obligation said R. WH. Thompson and his
sureties on his official bond, as collector of said township,
may be under, by means of said bonds, on account of the
non-collection, or the delay in the collection of said unpaid
tax tickets for said years of cighteen hundred and seventy-
three and cighteen hundred and seventy-four: provided that
before this act shall take effect, the consent of the securities
of the said Thompson in his official bond shall be obtained.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
