Chap. 259.—An ACT to amend and re-enact the act entitled an act for
the protection of game.
Approved March 14, 1878.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the act entitled an act for the protection of game, passed
March twenty-nine, eighteen hundred and seventy-seven, bé
so amended as to read as follows:
2. That it shall not be lawful for any person to kill or cap-
ture, or offer for sale or buy, any partridge or quail between
the first day of January and the fifteenth day of October of
each year; nor shall it be lawful to capture partridges at any
time by means of nets or traps of any kind until after the
expiration of one year from the passago of this act.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
