Chap. 175.—An ACT to incorporate the Trustees of Harmony lodge,
No. 19, Independent Order of Odd) Fellows, at Norfolk, and to
authorize them to invest the surplus funds of said lodge.

Whereas Harmony lodge, number nineteen, independent
order of Odd I*cllows, at Norfolk, has accumulated a surplus
fund which is not required for the ordinary uses of said
lodge, which they desire to invest so as to secure an income
therefrom; therctore,
1. Beit enacted by the general assembly, That Thomas
Battimore, J. O. Gardner, and Robert G. Turner, and their
Buccessors in office, elected in accordance with the by-laws
of said lodge, be and they are hereby created a body politic
and corporate, by the name of The Trustees of Harmon
Lodge, Number Nineteen, Independent Order of Odd Fel-
lows, at Norfolk, Virginia, and by that pame may sue and
be sued, plead and be impleaded, and do all and every act
necessary to enjoy the powers hereinafter conferred.
2. The said trustees shall hold all the property of said
lodge, and whenever directed so to do by said lodge, they
aro hereby authorized to lend out, invest, or otherwise dis-
pose of any money or other property belonging to them, in
such manner as they shall be required by a vote of the mem-
bers of said lodge in regular mecting assembled.
3. All property, real or personal, and all choses in action
which shall come to the hands of the said trustees, shall be
held by them for the exclusive use and benefit of the said
Harmony lodge, number nineteen, and shall be at all times
subject to the control of the said lodge.
4, This act shall be in force from its passage.
