Chap. 170.—An ACT to reculate the use of the public wharf or Jand-
ing at Totuskey bridge, in Marshall magisterial district, in Richmond
county, Virginia.

1, Be it enacted by the general assembly, That hereafter
it shall not be lawful for any person to place or cause to be
placed any wood, lumber, or other obstruction on the public
Wharf or landing at Totus key bridge, in’ Marshall magiste-
rial district, in the county of Rie himond, and to allow the
same to remain thereon fora lonver period than twenty-four
hours at one time.
2. Any person violating this act shall be fined not less than
five nor more than twenty dollars for cach offence, to be
recovered by warrant before any justice of the peace for the
county in which the offence was committed or the offender
may be found. One-half of this finu shall go to the informer
and the other half to the county in which the case is tried;
and if the offender shall not, on the rendition of judgment
against him, pay the amount of the fine and costs, he shall
be committed to the county jail for a period of not less than
five nor more than ten days.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
