Chap. 152.—An ACT declaring the county of Spotsylvania a district
for all the purposes of county organizution.

Whereas the county of Spotsylvania has a population,
éxclusive of the population of Fredericksburg, exceeding
eight thousand inbabitants; therefore,
1. Beit enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the county of Spotsylvania, excepting therefrom the town of
Fredericksburg, shall be and the same is hereby declared
to be a district fur all the purposes of county organization,
as provided for by law. And from and after the expiration
of the terms of office of the present officers of said county, it
sball not be lawful for any person to hold office in said
county, as hereinbefore declared a district, unless he reside
at the time and during his continuance in office within said
county or district. ,
