Chap. 115.—An ACT to empower the governor of Virginia to enter
into negotiation with the governor of Mary lund, in relation to mark-
ing and designating the boundary line between the states of Virginia
and Maryland.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the governor be empowered and inatructed to enter into
negotiation with the governor of Maryland, in relation to
marking and designating the boundary line between the
states of Virginia and Maryland, as was agreed upon by the
arbitrators appointed under an act entitled an act to desig-
nate the arbitrators to ascertain and fix the boundary be-
tween the states of Virginia and Maryland, or so much of
said boundary line as is necessary to identify the same for
practical purposes, and that the expenses that may be in-
eurred in marking and designating said boundary, so far as
the same may be borne by Virginia, shall be paid out of the
eivil contingent fund; but such expenditures shall not exceed
three hundred dollars.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
