Chap. 89.—JOINT RESOLUTION directing Auditor of Public Ac-
counts to ascertain and report the Indebtedness of Counties, Cities
and Towns of the state.

Approved February 13, 1877.

Resolved by the House of Delegates (the Senate concur-
ring), That the auditor of public accounts be instructed to
ascertain and report to the general assembly as soon as pos-
sible, the amount of the indebtedness of each county, city
and town in the state; and for this purpose he may call upon
the board of supervisors of each county and the proper author-
ities of any city or town, to furnish him, in such form as he
may prescribe, the necessary statements.
