Chap. 347.—An ACT to authorize the Walker Light Guard, a volun-
teer company of the city of Richmond, to adopt a uniform for com-
pany purposes, in addition to that prescribed by law.

Whereas the volunteer company known as The Walker
Light Guard (company B, first Virginia volunteers), now
commanded by Captain Charles T. Binford, already mustered
into the service of the state, and uniformed in the manner
prescribed by the militia law of this commonwealth, are de-
sirous to adopt, for company purposes, an additional uniform,
to be selected by the said company; therefore,
1. Bdit enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
it shall be lawful for the volunteer company of the city of
Richmond, known as The Walker Light Guard, to uniform
themselves in such manner as they, or a majority of them,
may decide. Said uniform, so selected, to be in addition to
that prescribed by law, and to be used only for company pur-
poses: -provided that the uniform so selected shall be approved
by the governor. )
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
