Chap. 302.—An ACT authorizing the school board of Middle River
District, of Augusta county, to convey a lot of land in the town of
Mount Sidney.

Whereas a certain lot in the town of Mount Sidney was
conveyed in the year one thousand eight hundred and twenty-
nine, by H. B. Roland and wife, to William Wilson, M. Mauzy
and others, as trustees, for school purposes; all of said trus-
tees being dead, and there being no successors, the buildin
destroyed, the lot of insufficient area; and whereas the said
school board having exchanged the above named lot for a
much larger one, adjacent to said town, and doubt existing
as to the power of said school board to convey; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
B. J. Craig, William A. Hanger and Thomas P. Wilson, school
trustees in and for Middle River District, in the county of
Augusta, are hereby authorized and empowered to convey all
right and title in and to a certain lot in the town of Mount
Sidney, being the same conveyed by H. B. Roland and wife
to William Wilson, M. Mauzy and others, for school purposes.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
