Chap. 279.—An ACT to amend and.re-enact section 30 of chapter 215
of the Acts of Assembly of 1875-76, in relation to the duties, powers,
linbilities and compensation of certain county officers.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
section thirty of chaptertwo hundred and fifteen of the Acts
of Assembly of eighteen hundred’ and seventy-five and sev-
enty-six, be amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
§ 30. Every treasurer or collector shall be allowed for his
services, in the receiving and paying over the revenue, on
amounts of ten thousand dollars and .less, five per centum;
on the amount in excess of ten thousand dollars and under
thirty thousand dollars, two per centum; on the amount in
excess of thirty thousand and under fifty thousand dollars,
one and a half per ventum; and on the amaunt in excess of
fifty thousand dollars, one per centum: provided that upon
all state taxes and county levies, except as to county levies
in the counties of Rockbridge, Henrico and Botetourt, collec-
ted by him after the first day of March, he shall receive four
pey centum in addition to the regular commission provided
for in first part of this section and of acction fifteen of this
act.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
