CHAP. 272.—An ACT to authorize the Worcester railroad company, in
Virginia, to consolidate with certain companies in the states of Det-
aware and Maryland.
Approved April] 2, 1877.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the Worcester railroad company, in the state of Virginia, be,
and the same is hereby authorized and empowered to con-
solidate itself, its franchises, and property of every descrip-
tion, with the Worcester railroad company, in tho state of
Maryland, and with the Breakwater and Frankford, and the
Junction and Breakwater railroad company, of the state of
Delaware, or with either of them, at such time and on such
terms as may be agreed upon by the president and directors
of the said several railroad companies, with the assent of a
majority of the respective stockholders, or of such of said
companies a3 may ayree to consolidate.
2. And be it further enacted, That said company, when
thus consolidated and called by such name as may be agreed
upon by the respective parties, shall have all the rights,
privileges, and immunities in this commonwealth which were
conferred on the Worcester railroad company by the act of
the legislature of this state, approved on the second day of
March, cighteen hundred and seventy-six.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
