Chap. 265.—An ACT releasing to Mary A. E. Dangerfield the com-
monwealth’s right to certain real and personal estate.
Approved April 2, 1877.
1. Be it enacted by the general assemb'y, Toat all the
right, title, and claim which has heretofore accrued or may
hereafter accrue to the commonwea'th of Virginia, or to the
president and directors of the literary fund, in and to the
estate of Archibald Gilchrist, deceased, late of the county of
Pittsylvania, who was a Scotchman by birth, shall be, and
the same are hereby released to Mary A. E. Dangerfield, a
ciuzen of said county of Pittsylvania, and state of Virginia,
saving however to all persons other than the commonwealth
of Virginia, and the president and directors of the literary
fund, any right, title, interest or claim which they or any of
them, might or would have had in or to the said estate to the
same extent as if this act had not been passed.
2. This act shall he in force from its passage.
