Chap. 263.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section 6 of chapter 98,
Code of 1873, in relation to drift.

1. Beit enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
section six of chapter ninety-eight of the Code of Virginia,
edition of eighteen hundred and seventy-three, be amended
and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
§ 6. When any property not mentioned in section first of
thie chapter is drifted on any of the waters of this common-
wealth, and deposited and left on the lands of any person
other than the owner of such property, the owner of such
land shall, as against all persons other than the owner of
such property, be deemed and treated, and bave the same
rights and remedies relating thereto as such owner thereof.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
