Chap. 242.—An ACT to enable the congregation of St. Peter's Pro-
testant Episcopal church, Tillotson paris sh, to sell or remove their
church edifice and buy or ‘build another.
Approved March 29, 1877.
1. Be it enacted by the generai assembly ot Virginia, That
the congregation of St. Peter’s Protestant Episcopal church,
Tillotson parish, shall be authorized through trustees to be
appointed and qualified according to law, to sell or remove
their church edifice at the village of Curdsville, in the county
of Buckingham, and said trustees shall, when duly required
by said congregation to do so, sell and convey the lot or par-
cel of land belonging to said congregation on which said
church stands, cither with or without the church building.
as said congregation may elect, and upon such terms and
conditions as said congregation shall require. The proceeds
of the sale of said church, or said parcel of land, or botb, as
the case may be, shall be applied—first, to the payment of
the debts owing by said congregation, and secondly, to the
purchase, or building, of another church, at such place in
said parish as said congregation may acquire for the purpose.
2. This act shall be in furce from its passage.
