Chap. 227.—An ACT concerning the trustess of Richmond Female
Institute.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, Tbat the trus-
teesof the Richmond female institute be and they are hereby
authorized to sell, mortgage, convey in trust, or otherwise
dispose of the property lying in the city of Richmond, on
Tenth street, between Marshall and Clay streets, or of any
part thereof, for the purpose of sinking the preferred stock,
or any part thereof, or for any other purposes of the insti-
tute.
2. That the trusteos may borrow one or more sums of
money, at a rate of interest not exceeding nine per centum
per annum, and mortgage or convey in trust, for the securing
of such sum or sums of money, any part or parts or.the
whole of the said property lying on Tenth street as aforesaid.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
