Chap. 224.—An ACT for the relief of J. B. Browne, skeriff of Glou-
cester county.
Approved March 29, 1877.
1. Be it enacted by the general ussembly of Virginia, That
the auditor of public accounts be, and he is hereby required
to issue his warrant upon the treasury in favor of J. B.
Browne of Gloucester county, for the sum of fifty dollars, for
expenses incurred by him in obeying a writ of habeas corpus
issued by Hugh L. Bond, judge of the circuit court of the
United States, for the eastern district of Virginia, in the case
of James W. McCready, who was in the custody of said J.
B. Browne, as sheriff of Gloucester county, under a capias,
in a prosecution for the violation of the oyster law.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
