Chap. 222.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section 6, chapter 112, of
the Code of 1873, relating to liens given on property, exempted under
the 33d and 34th sections of chapter 49 of the Code of 1873.

1, Beit enacted by the gencral assembly, That section six,
chapter one hundred and twelve, Code of eighteen hundred
and seventy-three, be amended and re-enacted, so as to read
as follows:

36. Any deed of trust, mortgage, or other writing, made
by a husband or parent, to give a lien on property which is
exempt from distress or levy, under the thirty-third and
thirty-fourth sections of the forty-ninth chapter, shall be void
as to such property.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
