Chap. 218.—An ACT to release the state’s interest in certain real estate
in the village of Onancock, in the county of Accomack.
Approved March 29, 1877.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
whatever estate, right, title, or interest may be vested in this
commonwealth in or to that certain lot or parcel of land sit-
uated in the village of Onancock, in the county of Accomack,
known as market square, is hereby released and granted to
William H. A. Hopkins, John M. Fosque, Jr., Henry F.
Powell, William S. Mills, and Thomas C. Pitts, or their suc-
cessors, in trust for the purpose of erecting on the said lot a
building, to be held and used as a temperance hall and for
such other public uses as the said trustees or their successors
may authorize and permit.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
