Chap. 190.—An ACT for the relief of R. J. Gaulding, sheriff of Char-
lotte county, Virginia.
Approved March 20, 1877.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the auditor of public accounts .be, and he is hereby autbor-
ized and directed to pay to R. J. Gaulding, out of any money
in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of forty-
four dollars and twenty-five cents, that being the amount ot
money actually expended by him, over and above the com-
pensation allowed by law, for conveying James M. Tucker. a
lunatic, to the Easterp lunatic asylum at Williamsburg, be-
cause of his being, together with his guard, snow-bound and
detained by stress of weather, in the city of Williamsburg.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
