Chap. 183.—An ACT for the relief of William H. Gills, treasurer of
Appomattox county.
Approved March 20, 1877.
Whereas, it has been represented that William H. Gills,
treasurer for Appomattox county, has been so disabled as
temporarily to disqualify him for the active discharge of his
duties in the collection of the stale revenues; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the treasurer of Appomattox county shall be allowed until
the fifteenth day of August, eighteen hundred and seventy-
seven, to make his final settlement with the auditor of public
accounte, in regard to the taxes received from said county:
provided tho consent of the sureties of the treasurer shall be
given to the extension of time provided for, in person, before
the county judge, in term time or vacation, by a writing
signed by such sureties; said writing to be duly recorded by
the clerk of the county court, and certified to the auditor of
public accounts.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
