Chap. 148.—An ACT authorizing the governor to commission, with
the rank of colonel, James H. Lane, the commandant of the corps of
cadets of the Virginia agricultural and mechanical college.

Approved March 13, 1877.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the gover-
nor of this commonwealth be, and he is hereby authorized
and required to commission James H Lane, the commandant,
of the corps of cadets of the Virginia agricultural and me-
chanical college, with the rank of colonel.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
